New Single Payment Theshold set
September 22nd, 2009DEFRA have announced that the new threshold for claiming Single Payment will be 1ha, which is an increase from 0.3ha. This increase will see an estimated 1500 claimants being excluded from the 2010 scheme as a consequence of farming less than this area in total.
There had been an expectation that the threshold would be set at 5ha but the Government have decided to set it at the minimum allowed by the EU.
