The cottage is full of character and is believed to date back to before the 19th Century, with exposed ceiling timbers, mullion windows, Suffolk latch doors and wooden floors.

The accommodation throughout the property is both versatile and well-proportioned. If desired, the ground floor allows separate living spaces, with two Sitting Rooms and Two Kitchens. In all, the ground floor features two main reception rooms, a garden room, two kitchens, and a wet room. To the first floor, there are three double bedrooms; two with en-suite shower rooms and a family bathroom. Each of the bedrooms are a very good size with wonderful countryside views. The Sitting Room is light and bright with exposed ceiling timbers and a wood burning stove taking centre stage. This room could also potentially be used as a fourth bedroom. The second Sitting Room / Dining Room is a lovely bright room with dual aspect windows and an open fireplace with a stone surround. From here, an open doorway leads through to the Garden Room. The Kitchen/Breakfast room is full of natural light and provides a wonderful room for the family to eat together. There is a stylish range of fitted units with plenty of storage and space for a good size table and chairs. The second Kitchen, also well fitted has stable door to the rear garden. Both Kitchens have integrated appliances.

Approached via a no through lane, 1 Ivy Cottages is peacefully situated and surrounded by open countryside. The property has an attractive front garden, well planted with lots of colour and alongside, the driveway provides parking for a number of cars. From here, a wooden five bar gate gives access at the side of the cottage to the rear garden. Mainly laid to lawn, the rear garden is surrounded by mature trees and hedgerow, giving a wonderful feeling of privacy and seclusion. To the side of the property, there are views to open fields. Doors also open from both Kitchens at the rear of the cottage. There is also a wooden cabin at the end of the garden that measures approximately 15ft x 12ft

The picturesque village of Cloford enjoys a rural setting with panoramic countryside views. The sought-after village of Nunney with a junior school, shops and Post Office is within 2 miles. The increasingly popular market town of Frome is the largest market town in Somerset, with a thriving arts community and good shopping including, a host of small independent shops, two theatres, a cinema and a sports centre and direct rail services to Bath and Salisbury. Frome has recently voted one of the top six places to live in England by 'The Times' newspaper. Transport links are good with a railway station in Frome that connects to Westbury and from there, to London Paddington or the South West. There are excellent state schools in the area and independent schools include Downside, All Hallows, Millfield, Wells Cathedral and the Bath schools. Most schools provide transport.
