This delightful character cottage, well situated in the village of Chewton Mendip, is a wonderful crossover of new and old, having plenty of character but also with modern comforts, including underfloor heating.
The Kitchen is the hub of the home, with quality fitted units, range oven and extractor hood above and an integrated dishwasher. At one end of the room is a fireplace with wood burner and a door opens to a Utility Room with further space for appliances, which also has a door opening to a Cloakroom.
The Sitting Room is a lovely double aspect room, with bifold doors opening to the gardens and the Dining Room, a versatile space, could also be used as a Family Room; again, double aspect and with a door opening to the garden. Stairs also rise to the first floor.
Upstairs, all rooms have gorgeous solid wood doors. There are three double bedrooms, one with en-suite shower room and there is a family bathroom.
The gardens are a real feature of this property and make a wonderful retreat; a fabulous space for children to play and ideal for entertaining family and friends. The gardens are mainly laid to lawn and bordered by beds, well planted with a variety of shrubs and flora. From the cottage, bifold doors open from the Sitting Room to a gravelled seating area, ideal for family barbeques and great place to sit an admire the gardens. Steps lead up to the lawn, which in the summer months is surrounded by colour. At one end of the garden, there are two stone built storage sheds and in the corner a timber built shed, also suitable for storage.
