Millways is located around a mile from the Cathedral City of Wells and around half a mile from Wookey Hole.
Wookey Hole is a pleasant village on the southern edge of the Mendip Hills. There are many amenities in the village as well as the famous Wookey Hole Caves and Paper Mill. The Village is surrounded by outstanding countryside where the most scenic walks can be found. Wookey Hole has a good community which enjoys a village club house and a public house which is well rated in the good pub guide.
The Cathedral City of Wells is a short distance away and offers further amenities including a twice weekly market and a thriving High Street. Wells is the smallest city in England and has a range of facilities including independent shops and boutiques, banks, restaurants, public houses, cinema and churches.
There are excellent schools in Wells and the surrounding area including highly regarded primary schools in Wells, the extremely sought-after Wells Blue secondary school, Wells Cathedral School, Downside School, All Hallows Preparatory School and Millfield.
